Looking for a new place to live on green/yellow line for September 1.

I am a 31 year old professional female currently living on U Street. My lease is up on August 31 and am hoping to find a roommate to look for 2bd/2ba in the neighborhood. I figure we'll have better luck finding a 2bd for around $2600 than I will looking for a 1bd for $1300. I'm hoping to stay around the 14th Street corridor: 9th to 18th (east to west), Newton Street to L Street (north to south).
Or, if you're renting out your 1bd condo for around $1300, please let me know!!
