You can sell items placed in front of your house using the honor system.
 Here is how it works; recently I sold an elypitcal exercise bike using  this method. I placed the bike outside of my home, I attached a note and a ziplock bag to the bike, on the ziplock bag I wrote "money bag"  I attached the note and the ziplock bag to the bike using, regular grocery ties that you find in the produce section of the supermarket.  The note read :$50.00, please place the money in the attached ziplock bag, place the ziplock bag in the green flower pot at the top of the stairs. Thank you. I went on with the day doing my daily chores out of my home. I returned about 6pm in the evening. At first I did not even notice the bike was gone; when I realized the bike was gone I rushed to the flower pot, at the top of the stair! There it was! the ziplock bag, in the flower pot. But, what was even more awesome, the buyer had taken the time to carefully attach the ziplock bag with the $50 to the plant in the flower pot, insuring that it would not blow away!!! OMG! how awesome was that!!!
