Hi Petworth Community & Beyond,
Earlier in the summer we check with the Prince of Petworth about doing a post on the expansion of Bridges PCS, a charter school that has been serving the Petworth Community for the last 8 years.  Below is information about the programs expansion, current openings and how to apply.
Are you looking for a good school program for your 3, 4 or five year old child?  Ditch the wait lists and join the Bridges Public Charter Schools family!  Bridges currently has NO WAIT LIST for its inaugural kindergarten class this September.  Bridges is in its 8th successful year and looking forward to welcoming more families to the school community as we expand into an elementary school program.  Serving preschool - kindergarten for the 2012 - 2013 school year and adding a grade each year until 5th grade.
With our small class sizes, highly qualified teaching staff and hands-on investigative curriculum for students in grade preschool - kindergarten.  We are building on our strong foundation as an early childhood program.

You are eligible to apply if:

You reside in the District of Columbia.
For preschool, 3 years old by September 30th.
For pre-Kindergarten, 4 years old by September 30th.
For Kindergarten, 5 years old by September 30th.

Parents of DC have great things to say about Bridges PCS.  Check out the DC Urban Mom’s website, http://www.dcurbanmom.com.  Bridges Public Charter School is free to all District of Columbia residents. Non-residents can apply and attend the school for a fee.
