I wish I could help on the housing front, but while your housing situation may be somewhat out of your control, your mental health isn't. Hurting yourself because of your living situation is not an option and will not solve anything. Please call one of the phone numbers here: http://www.suicidehot...... See More »

  • What to buy a 90 year old for Christmas?

    mabdc

    Washington, DC

I'm struggling with what to buy my 90 year old grandfather for Christmas. He's still independent and even drives! What do you buy a 90 year old? He has everything, or the money to buy anything he wanted but lives modestly because he grew up during the depression and served in the Army during WWII. Any ideas out there?  More»

  • Cats for Adoption!

    dp

    Washington, DC

Summer and Muffin are sisters that have been together for 13 years. They were well-cared for in a loving home – as evidenced by their excellent health and affectionate natures – and got along well with several other cats. Unfortunately, a sudden change in their owner's circumstances forced him to move and find his beloved cats new homes. Muffin and Summer are healthy, energetic, personable and loving. They seem to like a fairly quiet environment, as they dive into hidey holes when they hear a sudden noise, but this may change as they beco...  More»

  • Wonderful cat available to good home

    mn

Cherry is a wonderful little 2-year-old, petite, short-haired girl with interesting markings. Found and fostered in Bloomingdale, she is naturally shy, and probably never will become a true lap cat. But she does like to be close to the action! Cherry makes herself comfortable quickly and charmingly. She prefers high perches and will rub against legs and allow petting on her own terms as she opens up. She loves toys and will surround herself in them before bed. She can do scheduled- or free-feeding, which is a nice option if you have other pets. She's goo...  More»
